Garlic bread is one of those side dishes/appetizers that is favored no matter how old you are. Sure, buying Texas Toast from the freezer aisle is convenient, but with a little extra attention and Mendocino Spices you can make homemade garlic bread that will blow Pepperidge Farms out of the water. And if you want that show stopping cheese pull, work for that bread and pull out your grater and a block of cheese because freshly shredded is always best!
1 ciabatta loaf or French baguette
3 garlic bulbs
1 stick softened butter
1 tbsp Mendocino Spices Italian Seasoning
1/2 tsp Mendocino Spices Crushed Red Pepper
1/2 tsp Mendocino Spices All-Purpose Seasoning
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup sharp white cheddar cheese
1. In a 400 degree F oven, roast garlic for 1 hour wrapped in foil, drizzled with a little EVOO, and seasoned with Mendocino Spices all-purpose seasoning.
2. Mix softened butter, roasted garlic, Mendocino Spices, and cheese altogether until well- combined.
3. Spread garlic butter on a ciabatta loaf or French baguette and bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
