Pigs in a blanket are a staple Superbowl food. They’re super convenient to prepare and are always a crowd favorite. We upped the anti on the classic finger food stuffing the piggies with a little American cheese and topping each one with Mendocino Spices Hulled Sesame Seeds, Poppy Seeds, and Mustard Seeds. The sauces displayed in the picture are a must for all the varying spices used, because each spice compliments a respective dipping sauce. I highly recommend serving the sesame seeds pigs in a blanket with ranch using Mendocino Spices Ranch Salad Dressing Mix. It was my favorite combo out of all of them, but you’ll have to see for yourself.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper or a nonstick baking mat.
On a lightly floured work surface, roll out the crescent roll dough and separate triangles provided. Working with one triangle at a time, cut each triangle in half to create 2 smaller triangles.
Starting at the bigger end of the triangle, lay a small square of cheese, topped with a mini hot dog, then roll up. Place on the baking sheet.
In a small bowl beat together egg and 1 tablespoon water. Brush the tops of the pigs in a blanket with egg and sprinkle with Mendocino Spices.
Bake for 14-16 minutes or until the dough is cooked through. Serve hot with dipping sauces!
